Guest Post at The Lettered Cottage
Boy did I need some TLC today, The Lettered Cottage that is!
Lucky me, my friend Layla invited me to guest post on her blog today, and I would so love it if you would join me over there. I wrote a fun post on “decorating with your flea market finds”, and documented a recent trip to the Rosebowl Flea Market with my friend Lu last month. Needless to say, we had a blast!
When you stop by The Lettered Cottage, you’ll find out how I transformed this ordinary vintage medical table:
Into a unique industrial side table in my living room:
There’s lots more pictures of this table, it’s transformation and our flea market trip, but I don’t want to spoil it even more, so please check out my post at TLC and leave a comment there so I know you stopped by!

I loved your guest post and your flea market treasures!! Your style is wonderful and inspirational. I have spent a lot of time going through your posts as you created your Cottage 8 and all the little details I love. Have a wonderful week friend!

I saw it last night! And loved it. You are so talented. I love what you did with the table. I love your style. I lived in Santa Ynez for about 7 years and sadly never made it to The Pasadena Flea Market. I sure wish I had. Congratulations on your guest post. It was awesome!

p.s. I adore Lulu and was so excited to see a picture of her!
Oh Jennifer, I read that early this morning! I knew it was your home, even before I got to the bottom and realized that it was 'that Jennifer' that Layla was talking about! (I always peruse the pics before I read the article). LOL...cracked me up that although I've never been to your home (or even CA. in years) that I would be able to recognize your home from your blog. Great post...my only suggestion....lol...post more pics more often...you're an inspiration! Tami
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your blog. That table is great. Now that is thinking out of the box. I love the old sign above it, too. What a great find. Love the antlers. I have one that my daughter found on our property several years ago. I need to look for more sometime. We have a lot of deer here.
ReplyDeleteWho would have thunk it would look so great! That's the best part. You just never know where or when.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing - i'd never have looked twice at that table, and it just looks absolutely perfect for your space in the 'after' photo!
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you don't mine my asking, what are those gorgeous stalks in the jar on the table? Are they cotton? And where did you find them?
Hey everyone! Thanks for your comments. A few of you have asked about the cotton in my ironstone pitcher. I'm going to be carrying that on my website in the next couple of weeks...watch for it!

Hi Jennifer, My husband often scratches his head and wonders what on earth I have brought home. I love the little table. Too cute. My husband would actually love those light bulbs. He collects old tubes. I scratch my head over those! I wish we had a wonderful flea market here in OKC. We do have some great thrift stores which have become my new place to visit almost daily. Thanks for all the inspiration. Angie Peck
ReplyDeleteJennifer, you're so talented! You really have a vision for Cottage 8. I see in your post you decided to buy the old leather suitcase I saw you pondering about. . . . It looks great! And what restraint you have to pass by those old light bulb. Good girl!
