We’re just a couple days away from what will mark the beginning of the new year, and all the possibilities that lay ahead. Before 2012 eludes us completely, I thought it might be fun to take a look back at the last few homes we featured on Cottage of the Month.

Okay, maybe just one tiny sneak peak:
You seasoned COTM’ers know the rules: always on the 1st of every month, and never a day before!
It’s amazing really. What started out as just a tiny little brain cloud all those years ago has grown into such a huge following. Here’s to seven amazing years of Cottage of the Month. I think that’s something to celebrate, don’t you think? This coming February will mark COTM’s 8th year. That’s a pretty special number ; )

I don't know how you will celebrate , but please don't ever stop doing it ! Reading Cottage of the Month is what started my love of cottage style decorating .

I always love seeing the cottage of the month and can't wait till the firs to see the first one of 2013. Maybe one day my home can be shared, too, but maybe it is a bit too traditional like Country Sampler magazine just said after some scouts sent it in to them for next year's Christmas issue.

ReplyDeleteI think it would be a perfect idea to have you re-feature your home in February for the anniversary date. Eight years and your cottage was number 8. Sounds like it is meant to be!!!! We would all love to see your beautiful cottage again and all the changes from when you first featured your home. Thank you Jen for 8 years of showcasing beautiful homes. We appreciate you doing this and coming up with this idea 8 years ago.

ReplyDeleteI have a great idea as to how you could celebrate your 8th year ..something I have been hoping for ..for a long long time ...how about if you were to do a book ? You could call it "Cottage of the Month" 8 yrs and counting ?? Or something along those lines? :) I am telling you ..it would probably be a best seller ! I personally would BLISSFULLY enjoy roaming through the past 8 yrs of Cottage Home Decorating ..it would be very interesting to see how things have evolved over the past 8 yrs as well ! Or even better ..a TV show on HGTV or DIY where they go through these amazing Cottage/Farmhouse type homes ? Anyways ..something I was just hoping & dreaming for ..and I know you would do an amazing job ! Congrats on your 8 yrs of Cottage of the Month Homes ..it has been so enjoyable and I am so grateful for your talent,your creative genious,and sharing your own home and life with us!
