3 Happy Weekending

the lookout

Our agenda for this warm sunny weekend involves treasure hunting at Topanga Vintage Market tomorrow, followed by a birthday party on Monday and an exciting gardening project we are currently working on. If you follow us on Instagram, you can stay in the loop and keep up with us in between posts.

Whatever you have planned for your weekend, I hope it’s a good one : )

PS – I’ve decided to try my hand at fermenting my own veggies at home (cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, beets, cauliflower, bell pepper and cabbage), but the learning process is feeling a bit intimidating. Do you have any insight or advice for a first time fermenter? I would love to hear from you.

  2. Don't be intimidated by fermenting-it's simple and easier than canning. We ferment cabbage, beans, hummus, kanji, and kombucha weekly and have only had one bad jar of beans- and you could definitely smell that it was bad. Welcome to the world of delicious probiotics! Once you start, you can never turn back! Also I recommend "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Fermenting Foods" by Wardeh Harmon.
